UPDATE

The Racetec tyres are wearing extremely well and give excellent grip in the dry. Wet grip is not as good, however I am generally a very cautious rider in the wet. That said, I have found the limit of wet grip a couple of times. Things got exciting very quickly.

I've been a firm believer in Michelin Pilot Powers ever since they became available in Australia. However, after advice from a fellow rider, I have replaced my worn out set for a pair of Metzeler Racetec Interact tyres.

I'm looking forward to getting a chance to test them out. I know they're not ideally suited to long distance touring, but they should be fun in the corners! Only time will tell as to how long they will last and whether I'll buy them again.
