UPDATE
The Racetec tyres are wearing extremely well and give excellent grip in the dry. Wet grip is not as good, however I am generally a very cautious rider in the wet. That said, I have found the limit of wet grip a couple of times. Things got exciting very quickly.

I've started planning my next Iron Butt 1600k Route - a loop that starts and ends in Sydney, via Bega, the Great Alpine road and Thredbo. The requirements for the Iron Butt 1600k is that you must ride a motorcycle at least 1600 kilometres within a 24 hour period.
At 11:40pm on Saturday, 29 March, my Kawasaki ZX-10R and I were ready to head off on our adventure - an Iron Butt challenge known as the Saddlesore 1600 which requires the rider to travel at least 1610 km (1000 miles) in less than 24 hours. With 3 hours to go before my deadline, I pulled into the Coles Express service station at Wahroonga, having traveled a total of 1787 km in 21 hours.
